Frequently asked questions

Do the PDF's images and layout carry over to the EPUB?

No. This conversion extracts text only. Images, tables, fonts, and page layout are not included in the resulting EPUB.

Can I convert a scanned PDF?

No. A PDF made up of scanned images only has no text layer to extract, so the conversion is rejected. Only PDFs where you can select and copy text can be converted.

How are the EPUB's chapters divided?

Each page of the PDF becomes one EPUB chapter. You can jump straight to any page from the table of contents.

Where can I read the resulting EPUB?

It is produced in the EPUB 3 format, so it opens in most ebook readers, including Apple Books, Google Play Books, Ridi, and Crema.

Is my PDF file sent anywhere?
