Frequently asked questions
Which Hangul versions are supported?
HWP 5.0 files — everything Hangul 2002 and later writes — and HWPX files from Hangul 2014 and later. The much older HWP 3.0 format is not supported.
Are tables preserved?
Yes. Each table becomes a real Word table with the same rows and columns, carrying the cell text. Cell merging, borders, and shading are not reproduced.
Will the DOCX look identical to the original?
No. Text and tables are extracted and rendered with default styling, so images, drawings, fonts, and paragraph formatting are not preserved. It's best suited for reading and reusing the content.
Can I convert a password-protected HWP?
No. Password-protected, DRM-restricted, and distribution documents can't be read, so the tool shows a notice instead of converting. Save an unrestricted copy in Hangul and try again.
Is my document sent anywhere?
No. Your file never leaves your device. The conversion runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
