Frequently asked questions

Will the PDF look identical to the original Word document?

No. Only the paragraph text is extracted and rendered with default styling, so the original images, tables, fonts, and paragraph formatting are not preserved. It's best suited for sharing and archiving the content.

Can I convert an older DOC file?

No. The Word 97-2003 DOC format is not supported. Re-save the file as DOCX in Word, then convert it.

Are Korean documents supported?

Yes. The Noto Sans KR font is used to display Korean text. The font is downloaded only once (a few MB) and cached afterward, so subsequent conversions start immediately.

Can I convert a password-protected DOCX?

No. Password-protected documents can't be read, so the tool shows a notice instead of converting. Remove the password and try again.

Is my document sent anywhere?

No. Your file never leaves your device. The conversion runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
