Frequently asked questions

Which Hangul versions can open the result?

The output is HWP 5.0, the format Hangul has used since 2002, so Hangul 2002 and every later release opens it — as does the free Hangul Viewer.

Should I choose HWP or HWPX?

Choose HWP when the file has to open in an older Hangul release or a system that accepts the .hwp extension only. Choose HWPX — Hancom's newer standard format — when you are on Hangul 2014 or later.

What happens to my tables?

Table text is preserved but flattened: each row becomes one paragraph with tab-separated cells. The table structure itself is not rebuilt.

Can I convert an older DOC file?

No. The Word 97-2003 DOC format is not supported. Re-save the file as DOCX in Word, then convert it.

Is my document sent anywhere?

No. Your file never leaves your device. The conversion runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
