Things to know

  • A media engine (about 32MB) is downloaded once on first use and cached afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

Does the M4A include the MOV's video?

No. Only the first audio track is used; the video is excluded from the output.

Is the audio always re-encoded?

No. If the input audio is AAC, it is copied as-is; other audio codecs are converted to AAC 192kbps.

Which track is used if there are multiple audio tracks?

Only the first audio track is used. Other audio tracks are not included in the output.

Can I convert a MOV with no sound?

No. If there is no audio track, no output file is produced and you are notified instead.

Is my MOV file sent anywhere?

No. Your file never leaves your device. The conversion runs inside your browser and nothing is uploaded.
